The Walkerton Hometown Christmas Market returned on Thursday, November 16, 2023 with evening shopping and holiday specials from our merchants, restaurants and artisans, plus live music and an outdoor licensed area with seasonal cheer!

Road Closures - The Municipality of Brockton closed the north half of Colborne Street between Scott Street and Durham Street from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Durham Street from Victoria Street to Jackson Street from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. on November 16, 2023 for the Christmas Market. Vehicles that are parked within these sections of road will be asked to move, so please refrain from parking on Durham Street after 2:30 p.m. and on Colborne Street after 12:30 p.m. on November 16, 2023.

Accessible Parking - Due to the Hometown Christmas Market on November 16, 2023, the two (2) Accessible Parking Spots behind the Market Garden were temporarily moved to the Municipal Parking Lot behind the Market Garden.

Our popular Shop Walkerton & Win campaign returned, with close to 50 business taking part! Get a Shop Walkerton & Win card and collect stamps from participating businesses for a chance to enter our weekly draws for Brockton Dollars. The first draw was at the Christmas Market on Nov. 16th. The campaign ran from Nov. 13th to Dec. 23rd, with ballots/cards available to pick up and drop off cards at the following locations:

- Brockton Municipal Office
- Willow Home
- A&R Music
- MB Consignment Boutique
- The Walkerton Toy Shoppe
- HIS Style

A Vendors Market occurred in the Market Garden Park on Nov. 16th, where 16 artisans showcased everything from woolens and artwork to toys and clothing. This was a great opportunity to support local and find unique gifts for friends, family -- and yes, yourself!

The "Reindeer Room" was also be back, courtesy of the Walkerton Rotary Club, offering hot toddies and a wonderful selection of other drinks. This area, on Colborne Street, was restricted to ages 19 and up.
