The Municipality of Brockton issues licenses for individuals and businesses wishing to sell goods and services within Brockton. There are two types of licenses currently issued: <ol><li>Outdoor Vending/Refreshment Vehicle Licenses - For refreshment vehicles/food trucks and individuals selling goods/services outdoors on municipal property</li><li>Transient Trader Licensing - For individuals selling goods or services on an intermittent or one-time basis.</li></ol>These two licenses are governed under two different By-Laws. Staff are looking to create one Vendor Licensing By-Law to provide clarity on these licenses, vendor responsibilities, and license fees.The Municipality is looking for your feedback as we update these By-Laws. Your anonymous feedback will be considered as part of a report to Council later this Fall, with a new Vendor Licensing By-Law being brought forward by the end of the year.

The first step in the process was preparing a development charges background study as set out in the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended.What are Development Charges?Development Charges are charges that are paid by a developer of land in relation to the number of residential units or commercial / industrial square footage being constructed. This charge is used to put towards the infrastructure expenditures that will be incurred due to the growth of the community. The idea behind Development Charges is that growth pays for growth. The Municipality of Brockton recently opened a Pilot Dog Park Project located at Lobies Park, 20 Hannah St, Walkerton, ON N0G 2V0.This questionnaire has been developed to gather community feedback and evaluate user demographics and participation trends. This information will assist decision makers when planning a future permanent dog park in Brockton. Thank you for your participation - it will only take a few minutes to complete. The Municipality of Brockton rehabilitated the tennis courts located at Centennial Park in Walkerton. New fencing, lighting, resurfacing, and pickle ball courts are being added. The tennis and pickleball courts are now open! Thank you to everyone who donated towards this community project.
