The Municipality is consulting and engaging with residents about the 2025 budget. There are many factors that affect the Municipality&#39;s operating budget, and staff continually balance necessary costs and priorities while maintaining the service levels that our community expects. Staff are always looking for efficiencies that can result in cost savings. Activities are also tied to priorities set out by Council. Learn more about key budget timelines and processes, view documents, infographics, and ask questions of the Chief Financial Officer.For more information about the Municipality&#39;s budget, or financial statements, visit the <a href="https://www.brockton.ca/en/our-services/current-budget.aspx" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Municipality&#39;s website</a>.The Council of the Municipality of Brockton will hold Budget Meetings on January 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., January 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. and February 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom/livestreamed on the Municipality&#39;s website via eSCRIBE.

2025 Budget Consultation

The Municipality of Brockton issues licenses for individuals and businesses wishing to sell goods and services within Brockton. There are two types of licenses currently issued: <ol><li>Outdoor Vending/Refreshment Vehicle Licenses - For refreshment vehicles/food trucks and individuals selling goods/services outdoors on municipal property</li><li>Transient Trader Licensing - For individuals selling goods or services on an intermittent or one-time basis.</li></ol>These two licenses are governed under two different By-Laws. Staff are looking to create one Vendor Licensing By-Law to provide clarity on these licenses, vendor responsibilities, and license fees.The Municipality is looking for your feedback as we update these By-Laws. Your anonymous feedback will be considered as part of a report to Council later this Fall, with a new Vendor Licensing By-Law being brought forward by the end of the year.
